This weekend’s been a whirlwind of square dancing and old-time jams, as Dare to Be Square–West took over the Richard Hugo House all day and night on Saturday and Sunday. If you missed out on the dancing or are looking for more, join local stringbands The Tallboys and the Small Wonder Stringband and renowned North Carolina caller Bob Dalsemer tonight at the Century Ballroom for a rousing finale to the weekend.
If you’ve never square danced before, stop by tonight and give it a try! The caller usually teaches each dance and beginners are welcome!
*DEC 14th MONDAY NIGHT DANCE, 7:30-11PM*
With Caller Bob Dalsemer & music by The Tallboys & Small Wonder Stringband
Century Ballroom 915 E Pine St

And big congratulations are due to the Seattle Subversive Square Dance Society, not only for organizing Dare to Be Square in Seattle this year, but also for promoting square dancing through a network of Seattle-area house dances. Check out their webpage and be sure to stop by their next dance!
