A Night for Folklife

A Night for Folklife logoStarting Friday night, Northwest Folklife kicks off a weekend’s worth of festivities hosted by dedicated community members who want to support our mission of celebrating, sharing and sustaining the vitality of folk, ethnic and traditional arts.

Attend one of our open parties on Saturday the 14th and meet other Folklife fans!  Choose from  Balkan music and dance, shapenote singing, a bluegrass family dance, and more!  All donations from these parties will benefit both the annual Northwest Folklife Festival and our growing list of year-round programs.

Can’t make it this weekend? Supporting Folklife is as easy as going out to dinner! On Tuesday, November 17, two Queen Anne restaurants will donate a portion of that evening’s proceeds to Northwest Folklife. Choose from creative world fusion at Ascada Bistro (621 1/2 Queen Anne Ave) or authentic Irish pub fare at T.S. McHugh’s. Either way you’ll help Northwest Folklife raise critical funds. Not a bad way to spend a Tuesday!

If your schedule doesn’t allow for any of the A Night for Folklife fundraisers but you still want to support Northwest Folklife, you can donate here.
